Mzansi Bank

“Everyday banking that works as hard as you do.”

Retail and business banking for individuals, families and companies of every size across South Africa — and often where a client's relationship with the wider Mzansi Group begins.

Overview

What Mzansi Bank does

Mzansi Bank provides everyday banking for individuals, families and businesses of every size across South Africa — transactional accounts, savings, credit cards, home loans and vehicle finance for personal customers, and business accounts, lending, payment solutions and trade finance for entrepreneurs and companies, including a specialist team serving the country's largest corporates. Customers bank in branch, through the Mzansi app, or with a dedicated business banker.

Because banking is often someone's very first contact with the Group, Mzansi Bank also acts as a gateway to the rest of Mzansi: when a banker spots a client who could benefit from financial advice, insurance or investment help, they introduce them to a Mzansi Advisors financial adviser.

Mzansi CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) is a specialist team within Mzansi Bank serving large corporates, financial institutions and government with lending, treasury and capital markets advisory. It isn't part of our everyday retail or business banking services, so you won't find it elsewhere on this site.
How we fit together

Banking is rarely the whole story

  • We refer you to advice, with your consent. If one of our bankers notices you could benefit from financial planning, insurance or investment help, they'll introduce you to a Mzansi Advisors financial adviser — never automatically, and always disclosed, as South African financial services law requires.

  • Advisers refer clients back to us too. A Mzansi Advisors client who needs a bond, a business account or a foreign exchange facility is just as often introduced to a Mzansi Bank banker — it works both ways.

  • Cover comes bundled at the point of finance. Taking out a home loan or vehicle finance with us often comes with the option to add cover from Mzansi Insure at the same time.

  • Your banking counts toward Mzansi Rewards. Consistent saving and everyday banking activity build your Mzansi Rewards status alongside everything else you hold across the Group.
